Vodafone extends 4G to PAYG

Vodafone has extended its 4G network to Pay As You Go customers. The move comes one year since Vodafone launched the service.

The network said that the popularity of 4G had been demonstrated by the high data use its customers on the service demonstrated. The firm found that pay monthly customers on Vodafone’s 4G plans on average used around three times more data than 3G customers.

Vodafone also took aim at its rival EE, pointing to independent analysis from Ookla Speedtest data, whose results received between March 2014 and May 2014 showed that Vodafone speeds were equivalent to EE’s across the board, and significantly faster in tests completed on a 4G site.
