EE buys 58 Phones 4u stores
EE has announced that it has agreed to buy 58 Phones 4u stores. The stores and employees will be transferred to EE with immediate effect. The outlets will be re-branded to EE and the network plans for most stores to be opened in the next week.
A spokesperson for the company said: 'We can confirm that we have agreed with the Phones 4u administrator to purchase 58 stores, safeguarding 359 jobs, subject to court approval.
The new EE stores are believed to be in predominantly in retail white spots where the network did not already have a store with a few in areas where the EE had a presence but the Phones 4u store offered an improvement.
