LG to release 'NYX' multimedia device
LG will launch a handset that can capture 100 frames per second, Mobile understands.
The device has been given the codename 'NYX' and the high-speed video capture will allow for slow-motion playback. It is also believed to have a five-megapixel camera. LG would not confirm these details, but a spokeswoman said: 'LG will launch a multimedia device at the end of the month.'
Manufacturers have been following in Nokia's footsteps with the introduction of five-megapixel camera phones. Nokia launched the N95 earlier this year and rival manufacturers Samsung and Sony Ericsson have announced upcoming five-megapixel phones. None have been given such a high-speed video capture function as the NYX.
