All EE’s Phones 4u stores open for business
obileEE has confirmed to Mobile that all of the 55 Phones 4u stores purchased from the administrator are now open for business. Some of the newly branded stores began trading last week with more stores opening as the week progressed, now all the outlets are up and running.
In order to ensure a smooth transition an EE member of staff from a different store will be assisting the former Phones 4u staff in the early stages. These staff members would only be working with the existing staff on a temporary basis and would return to their parent stores once the transition period has been completed.
An EE spokesperson who spoke exclusively to Mobile said: ‘We're pleased to confirm the opening of 55 new EE stores across the country. All store staff have also transferred from P4U to join the EE team with immediate effect. We look forward to serving the local community in our new stores.’
The news comes as Vodafone also tells Mobile it has begun trading from former Phones 4u outlets with the aim of having 130 coverted by mid-November.
