T-Mobile has been tipped to take LG’s ‘Titanium Black’ Shine as a UK exclusive.
The device is expected to be launched within weeks and reprises the successful LG Shine, adding a darker finish. The specification remains the same.
LG claims to have sold 2.5 million Shine handsets worldwide, with around 200,000 thought to have been sold in the UK since its launch in February.
A T-Mobile spokeswoman said the device was under consideration for its handset portfolio.
LG unveiled a titanium black version of the Shine handset with the same features as the original LG Shine handset last week.
The phone has a two-megapixel Schneider Kreuznach camera, with GPRS and EDGE network compatibility and Bluetooth.
Jae Bae, executive VP of overseas sales and marketing division for LG Mobile said: 'The second Black Label Series (following the Chocolate) has been a phenomenal success with sales of the LG Shine reaching over 2.5 million worldwide.'
Gary Venn, head of marketing UK, said: 'The addition of the LG Shine 'Titanium Black' to the series will appeal to customers who demand the highest standards in style and technology. This handset takes the LG Shine to the next level, offering an elegant and stylish alternative to its predecessor.'
The handset will be launched in the UK, France, Netherlands and Austria.
