TalkTalk has added 180,000 new mobile customers, claiming the demand for quad-play has fuelled the growth.
TalkTalk’s financial results showed that 66,000 new customers joined TalkTalk Mobile within the first quarter of 2015. TalkTalk say that this was driven by more than a million new quad-play customers who joined TalkTalk in the last 12 months.
The company claimed a SIM-only market share of 13% in March, ahead of Vodafone and Tesco Mobile. TalkTalk has predicted that growth will continue into the second quarter of 2015, with the company on track to claim a 20% market share of SIM-only connections in May.
Tristia Harrison, Managing Director, TalkTalk Consumer said: ‘It’s exciting to see the growing demand for quad-play. Not only are savvy shoppers making considerable reductions to their household bills by bundling their services with TalkTalk, they’re also getting some of the best TV and mobile deals.’
The results come the same day that O2 announced 138,000 new adds, with mobile contract customers accounting for 56% of the network.
