Free content service launched by Tocmag
A MySpace style product has been launched for use on mobile phones.
Tocmag is a free service that allows users to create mini magazines filled with up to six pages of text, photos, audio and video.
Users create them on Tocmag’s internet site and can download them to a limitless number of phones via mobile internet. They’re automatically saved on a phone’s memory.
Tocmag originally rolled out a beta testing phase, during which 10,872 Tocmags were built and 123,523 downloads made by word of mouth recommendation.
‘Tocmag is… a free service to develop mobile content’, said Brad Ells, Tocmag’s founder. ‘People will be able to create and store content-rich messages on their mobiles. It certainly beats SMS or MMS messaging’.
