Sony Ericsson has added three new Bluetooth watches to its portfolio. The new devices allow mobile phones to be controlled from a wristwatch.
Teaming up with watchmaker Fossil, the watches come in either a Music, Executive or Classic Edition. All three fall under the MBW-150 range.
The watches will vibrate when there is an incoming call and display the caller’s name. Users can then decide whether to accept or reject the call by pressing a button on the watch. It is possible to answer the phone and speak to someone when worn with a Bluetooth headset.
Other functions include using the watches as a remote control for music, by skipping tracks or adjusting the volume of a handset’s MP3 player.
Standby time is up to seven days and each watch comes with a charging clip and charger. The MBW-150 range will be available in Q4 in selected markets.
