Music-focused US MVNO reveals plans to Rok the UK

A music-focused MVNO will launch in the UK to ‘bring something new to the market’.

Rok Mobile will combine mobile and music streaming packages on its SIM free service, claiming that it is a ‘revolutionary way to bring two subscriptions together’.

Co-founders James Kendrick and, Patron tequila founder, John Paul DeJoria launched the MVNO in the US in 2014, explaining that music should be included in any mobile data service.

The two co-founders have now revealed ambitions to replicate this mobile model in the UK, launching its MVNO on the Three network.

Kendrick said: ‘Rok Mobile is bringing something new to the market and appealing to an audience that feels music should be a basic feature of any mobile internet service. We chose Three as our partner network because we are confident it will provide us with the scale and data capabilities that our service requires.’
