Sony Ericsson takes top spot
Sales of Sony Ericsson's W810i have accelerated further, taking it to the top spot on Mobile's contract handset tracker.
The strong demand has been attributed to its black colour scheme, which appeals to a wider base of users than the white and orange of its W800i predecessor.
The Nokia N80 and N91 are both present on the tracker, indicating increased interest in the manufacturer's top-end range of smartphones. Sales of Nokia's previous flagship device the N70 have ground to a halt, however, with customers choosing the newer models instead.
Motorola's L6 continued to perform strongly on prepay, boosted by sales of the RED charity variant. Several high-price devices, including the Sony Ericsson W800i and Samsung D600, have also continued to sell well.
