Huawei’s smartphone brand honor claims to have sold out of honor 7 devices within one day of its European launch.
The company explained that it experienced ‘overwhelmingly high demand’ for the honor 7, following its launch last Thursday.
The brand now estimates that waiting times for new orders will take 2-3 weeks. A new online shop has been set up to meet demand, with new registrants to receive a cash incentive.
The announcement follows Huawei’s recent appointment of Nicola Philbin as the new Honor UK and Ireland head, reflecting its continued push to deliver thebrand to new European market,
Frank Yao, MD of Honor Western Europe, explained that the move would help deliver the brand to UK customers, furthering plans to ‘shake up’ the smartphone market.
Speaking at the time, Philbin said: ‘Honor offers something new and exciting as a young and brave brand; it offers high quality, world-leading technology, delivered at a price point that leads the industry at every level.’
