LG predicts its new V10 device will boost mobile sales

LG Electronics claims that its latest smartphone will boost sales of its mobile division.

Speaking at a launch event for the manufacturer’s latest V10 smartphone, LG’s head of mobile division Cho Juno predicted that the sales of the high end device will boost market share.

He told reporters that this increase will occur from the fourth quarter, claiming that a range of new mid to high tier products would also contribute to the sales boost.

The Korean brand have seen strong smartphone sales over the last year, with its Q3 2014 results reporting device sales up 39% year on year.

At the time the manufacturer stated that despite the competitive landscape of the market, it planned to strengthen its presence in mobile.

LG have also announced plans to expand into mobile payments, revealing at the V10 launch that it is working on its own payments service.
