Lycamobile renews multi-year MVNO deal with O2

Lycamobile has renewed its MVNO partnership with O2, agreeing on a new multi-year deal.

O2 explained that the new contract will see the Lycamobile use the network to enhance its global infrastructure.

David Plumb, Digital and New Business director at O2 explained that this extended partnership represents O2’s popularity with MVNOs. The network has recently secured MVNO deals with Sky and TalkTalk.

Lycamobile has partnered with O2 for the last six years but only launched as an MVNO on the network last year. Prior to this, Lycamobile operated an MVNA with O2 which marked the network’s first move into the aggregator space.

Plumb said: ‘Having partnered with O2 for six years, Lycamobile understands the benefits of a robust network and brilliant customer experience, which is why it has renewed its relationship with us for a second time. We are committed to supporting MVNOs in the market and are therefore delighted to be extending our relationship with Lycamobile’.
