LG kicks off deal with Arsenal
LG Mobile has signed a three-year deal with Arsenal Football Club to become the official supplier of mobile phones to the organisation.
The LG brand will be seen on LED digital perimeter boards and advertising broadcasts throughout Arsenal's new 60,000 capacity Emirates stadium when the club moves in at the start of the 2006/07 season. The Korean manufacturer is working on a new marketing campaign to support the sponsorship.
The partnership, which starts on 1 August, will see LG running match day promotions as well as having access to match tickets and signed shirts, which are expected to be used for LG promotions.
John Bernard, head of marketing for the UK leg of LG Mobile said: 'This will push our awareness of new products such as the up-coming chocolate family and LG Mobile's presence in the UK further now we are the telecom partner of three Premiership clubs.'
