Doro expands Carphone deal and plans marketing push

Doro has announced that it has expanded its partnership with Carphone Warehouse with the retailer set to stock the manufacturer’s fastest-selling smartphone, the Doro Liberto 820 Mini.

The seniors manufacturer’s new handset will be pushed through an in-store marketing campaign to launch next year in selected stores. Doro explained that this would include interactive demo handsets and point-of-sale displays with video tutorials.

Chris Millington, MD of Doro UK and Ireland said: ‘We have worked with Carphone Warehouse for many years now and this development is testimony to the strength of our relationship.

‘This handset is stunning and it makes a big difference to the end user as it opens up so many opportunities for them to be better connected and engaged. Smartphones are no longer exclusively designed for and aimed at the younger audience.’

In September Doro announced that John Lewis, Tesco, Argos and Vodafone would be stocking the 820 Mini device.
