Vodafone scales up 4G data roaming services
Vodafone has ramped up its 4G data roaming capabilities by boosting the number of destinations available to consumers and businesses.
The network has added eight new countries to its roaming portfolio, explaining the service will be able to customers whether they are on 4G or not. The new destinations include Hungary, Kenya, Morocco, UAE and Dominican Republic, which supplement the network’s 71 roaming destinations.
The announcement sees the network continue to compete with rival networks. EE currently offers free 4G data roaming to its premium paying customers on a 4GEE Extra plan, while Three offers free roaming to all pay monthly and pay as you go customers.
Vodafone’s new service will enable customers to use their bundled calls, texts and data for £3 extra a day on EuroTraveller or £5 on WorldTraveller services, with business customers paying up to £6 extra.
