Samsung agrees to pay Apple $548m to end patent row

Samsung will pay Apple $548m to settle part of the long running patent dispute between the two companies.

The news was revealed in a joint case statement from Apple and Samsung, the case relates back to a disagreement that began way back in 2011. Apple alleged that Samsung used its technology without permission.

It’s far from the end of proceedings however, with Apple seeking damages against Samsung on other counts of patent infringement.
