Voda CEO: billion pound pay-off will drive 2016 results
Vodafone’s CEO has pledged ‘marked improvements’ in 2016, promising that £2bn worth of network spending will start to show.
Jeroen Hoencamp explained that the New Year will see customers benefit from its major investment to improve the network. The brand has struggled with customer approval rating throughout the year, ending 2015 as Ofcom’s most complained about network for the fifth consecutive quarter.
However Hoencamp has pledged that customer experience will remain a key driver for the network going forward: ‘Over the last two years, Vodafone UK has made its most significant investment in our 30-year history.
‘The results of that investment are coming through, and in 2016, customers will experience marked improvements in our core networks; a stronger indoor and outdoor mobile experience coupled with a fast fixed broadband network capable of supporting new quad-play services.
‘Our key focus will continue to be on the customer experience and, with the migration of our customers onto our new IT billing system near completion, we will be able to simplify the operation of their accounts and offer industry-leading price plans and services.’
