EE & O2 fix network problems but cause remains unknown
EE and O2 have confirmed that technical issues with the networks have been resolved but the cause remains unknown.
A spokesperson for O2 explained that BT investigated the network and the issues were fixed last night: ‘The issue was fixed at 7pm yesterday and we continue to investigate what caused the problem.’
The network said it will continue to monitor its network overnight as the cause behind the technical problems still remain a mystery.
EE also said that its network issues are now resolved and that it is ‘working together with all affected operators to investigate’.
Both networks have apologised after the technical issues hit yesterday evening. At the time customers took to social media to vent their frustrations as calls from mobile to landlines failed to connect.
The full extent of the network issues remains unclear, with customer reporting problems with signal, voice calls and data as the main causes for complaint.
Mobile has contacted BT for comment and is awaiting a response.
