Carphone Warehouse’s MVNO iD has launched a ‘Data Rollover’ service, allowing customers to roll over the data they don’t use into the next month.
The feature which the MVNO claims is the first of its kind will be available to new and existing customers on 12 or 24 month contracts.
iD explained that the ‘Rollover’ allowance would always be used before any standard monthly data with any leftover from their monthly plan automatically going into the next month.
Dixons Carphone said that that since its launch the MVNO, which operates on the Three network, has acquired over 200,000 customers. Roaming and the return of the 12 month contract were the two main messages from the network at its launch. Clearly the brand now feels it can widen its appeal with this data rollover service.
Adam Dunlop, General Manager at iD, comments: ‘We’re delighted to announce the introduction of free Data Rollover on all our GoTo plans. We’ve listened to our customers who have told us they want more control over the data they use, so we’re giving them the flexibility to use data they might not use in any given month at no extra charge.
‘Data is one of the key considerations when choosing the right plan to suit your lifestyle, and we know data usage can vary from month to month, and can often result in higher monthly charges. This is why we’ve introduced Data Rollover, to give our customers more control over their plans and better value for money’.
