Lenovo opens first Dixons Carphone experience zone

Lenovo has opened its first UK branded experience zone in Dixons Carphone’s Reading store.

Intel have invested in the zones, with Microsoft also partnering on the retail initiative.

The store is one of two Lenovo experience areas that will appear in Dixons Carphone’s UK stores with the other being the Bristol Cribbs outlet which is set to open on February 18th.

All zones will also be fronted by a Lenovo representative who’ll provide product insight and information to interested customers.

Year-long trial

Initially operating for a 12-month trial period the initiative has the potential to be rolled out further should it prove to be successful.

The move demonstrates the growing presence of the Lenovo brand on the UK high street. The manufacturer recently announced that it would be making changes with the Motorola brand shifting focus from the Moto name.

Dixons Carphone announced that it too will be making changes to its retail portfolio, the business is combining a number of stores to make 3-in-1 outlets.
