EE retail director Deirdre Burns has left the network, Mobile can exclusively reveal.
After leading EE’s retail division for over three years, Burns will step down from her role for personal reasons.
The network said that Sian Doyle would take over as retail director, having spent over three years at Comcast as retail senior vice president. She has previously held senior retail roles at Orange and Asda in the UK, and Rogers Communications in Canada.
Confirming the news, an EE spokesperson said:
‘Deirdre Burns has decided to take a break in her career for personal reasons and is leaving EE. Deirdre joined EE in 2012 and oversaw the highly successful integration of the Orange and T-Mobile retail estates, as well as the development of an incredibly ambitious and successful retail transformation programme that has boosted the customer experience in EE stores across the UK. We wish her all the best and thank her for her huge contribution to EE’s on-going success.
Taking the post of retail director after a handover period is Sian Doyle, who brings a wealth of global retail leadership experience and an impressive track record of leading converged and quad-play initiatives in retail for leading telecoms companies, and a strong UK retail background as a former Retail Director of Orange UK.
‘Sian has spent the last six years in north America driving the retail strategy for Rogers Communications in Canada as Vice President of Retail and Comcast in the United States as Senior Vice President of Retail. We extend our very best wishes to both Deirdre and Sian.’
