Dixons Carphone has opened a new 3-in-1 flagship store on Oxford Street in London.
The new store, which the retailer anticipates will take around £25m a year, has a host new features and store technology.
This includes a 50 Sqm of LED panels screen which the brand claims is the biggest screen on Oxford Street. As well as special areas for smart home and smart watch products. The outlet will also contain a dedicated mulitplay space manned by an expert who’ll aim to provide customers connectivity needs, including TV and broadband bundles.
The store will use a virtual queue management system, which Dixons Carphone says removes the need to physically queue to buy products. The retailer also hopes to gain insight into customer behaviour through the use of O2 Smart Steps which creates a ‘heat map’ of customer in-store flow and browse points.
New retail environment
Mobile Person of the Year winner Dixons Carphone CEO Sebastian James said: ‘The retail environment continues to evolve and we know that our customers are incredibly discerning, so we knew we needed to provide an exciting, engaging and connected shopping experience combined with competitive pricing and excellent service. We hope our customer will agree that Oxford Street provides all that and more and we look forward to helping them in store.’
