MCCA2016 reaction: Retail and network delight

More winners of 2016 Mobile Choice Consumer Awards have given their reaction to victory at this year’s event.

‘It’s incredibly important because it shows our customers know what a great proposition we’ve got and the good experience they’ll have coming in to our website’ said Andrew Palmer, trading and operations director,

The delight at being recognised at a 100% customer voted awards was echoed by Ivor Crampsie, senior commercial manager, Tesco Mobile: ‘We’ve won because were offering the best possible value for the customers on the network, it’s a fantastic achievement to have won. To win for the third year in a row is absolutely awesome.’

O2 were particularly pleased to land the Customer Care accolade, as Matthew Lockwood, GM Store of the Future,O2 explained to Mobile: ‘It’s amazing to win, we’re up for a couple of categories but customer care is at the heart of what we do, this is the one that we really wanted to get.

‘O2’s all about customer care, what we make sure is when our customers come in they go through a customer experience framework, before they’ve even started in our shops. That is a really important framework for them to build on when they then get back in shops.’

For Instore Customer Experience winner Three Samantha Windsor, area manager 16 said that the business was particularly pleased as the victory recognised staff efforts: ‘As a business really values the time and the passion of its staff, I think that this is absolutely representative of the work that the guys in store and the team put in. It’s amazing to win and just proves that what we’re putting in absolutely every single day is worthwhile and makes that impact.’

In the connected home category Hive won out its UK head of marketing, Catherine Walker said a mixture of style and substance were behind the victory: ‘the first thing we aim to do is please our customers and that we’ve managed to do. It’s really nice to be recognised by the industry and we’ve managed that too. The connected home category is a relatively new category, we are very proud of the product and what it offers the consumer. The features the benefits and the design that was called out in the nomination as well, because it not only does its job well it also looks good which is always good in every consumers books.’
