OnePlus today announced the release of its latest device, the OnePlus 3T, an upgraded spec version of its flagship OnePlus 3 device. The phone is available online and exclusively through O2 – continuing the exclusivity partnership between O2 and PlusOne which began with the aforementioned flagship.
The manufacturer made a name for themselves with their initial releases, the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus One, which both delivered then flagship spec at a cut down rate.
The One Plus3T features a 5.5” a 1080p screen, 16 MP rear and front cameras, 6GB RAM, a QualcommSnapdragon 821 quad core processor and either 64 or 128GB internal memory.
O2 announced the UK launch of the OnePlus 3T on 24 November will be celebrated with a pop-up event at O2’s Oxford Street flagship store, with the device available from £417.99 outright or from £31 per month.
Describing the partnership, O2’s head of devices, Magnus McDonald said, ‘As the only operator in the UK to sell the OnePlus 3, we’re proud to be continuing our relationship with OnePlus and to bring our customers the OnePlus 3T,’ He continued, “Demand for the OnePlus 3 has exceeded all our expectations and we’re excited to see how successful our partnership with OnePlus can be.”
Describing their decision to launch devices with O2, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei said in September, ‘We chose O2 as our exclusive partner in this important market because they have a history of focusing on the most premium smartphones for the most savvy users, which aligns very well with our products and users.’
OnePlus was one of the few manufacturers to openly attribute UK price rises to the effect of Brexit, when it raised prices by £20 on its OnePlus 3 device.
