London, Manchester and Chippenham based unified comms provider Solar Communications has purchased Burnley based rivals Denwa for an undisclosed amount.
The company explained the purchase aims to add Denwa’s managed service and cloud expertise to their existing offerings while also boosting their share of the business communications market.
The company also believes there is substantial opportunity to increase ARPU by cross-selling services between the two merging companies.
The company’s services portfolio now includes edge technologies, including SD WAN, Contact Centre, On-site and Cloud Storage and a wide range of business-enhancing solutions.
While Solar welcomed Denwa’s staff to the team, Rob Scott, the founder and MD of Denwa will leave the business following the transfer of operations. He described the acquisition stating, ‘The Denwa team spent the last 12 years building and developing a strong company and service offering and have had the pleasure of working with some great customers. With Solar’s strong portfolio and service-led culture I am sure that the business will go from strength to strength.’
Solar’s CEO John Whitty said, ‘This latest and exciting addition to Solar Group comes on the back of July’s acquisition of RDC. The timely and successful integration of RDC allows for further acquisitions to support the Group strategy, allowing Solar to address the under-served mid-market with innovative and value-enhancing capabilities, both organically and via strategic acquisition.'
