HTC’s latest edition to their Desire range, the Desire 650 has been announced in Taiwan, featuring what the company describes as ‘an eye-catching 50 percent smooth and 50 percent grooved design.’
The device is to go on sale in the UK from February onwards, so far exclusively with O2 on the high street in Dark Blue, and through Brightstar and Data Select in both colour options.
Sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core chipset, 16GB internal memory, 2GB RAM, 720p resolution and a 13MP rear camera, the device falls solidly into the budget category, though no price has yet been announced.
Describing the design of the device, HTC Europe president Greig Williams stated, ‘Personalisation is increasingly important to users in today’s smartphone market, yet it is not always easy to find. The HTC Desire 650 delivers this in abundance, from outside and from within. From the unique 50/50 smooth and grooved design, to our fully customisable HTC Sense platform, the HTC Desire 650 is a device centred entirely on you.’
He continued, ‘When factoring in a brilliant imaging and audio experience on top of this, we’re confident that, in the HTC Desire 650, we’ve created a striking device which contains each and every element today’s smartphone users demand.’
