Snom aims to strengthen VoIP offering

Specialising in VoIP and DECT solutions for professional and enterprise markets, Berlin-based Snom has moved to reassure customers that its existing business will not be disrupted by its recent takeover by VTech.

The company says ‘With the dust just settling on the recent takeover of Snom Technology by VTech, Snom customers and partners will in all likelihood have been trying to anticipate what changes to expect. The new owners have quickly taken steps to reassure customers that existing business will not be disrupted and familiar faces in the Snom Technology sales, development and marketing teams are still present.’

Gernot Sagl, Snom Technology’s CEO, is confident that the IP phone manufacturer can strengthen its market position now that it is part of VTech: “Our customers will continue to enjoy the same level of high-quality product design, craftsmanship, security and interoperability and thanks to the support from VTech we can now also look forward to improved levels of service and support and an exciting expansion of our product portfolio.’

‘The familiar elegant ergonomic design, wideband HD audio sound quality and user-friendly software of Snom IP phones and Snom DECT solutions for workplace mobility will continue to be hosted in Germany ensuring the unrivalled levels of communication security will continue to be guaranteed.’

New Snom products are scheduled for launch at CeBit in March.

Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Berlin, Snom is now an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of VTech, and operates wholly owned subsidiaries and branches in the United States, UK, France, Italy, Spain and Taiwan. Snom products are sold through distributors to over 25,000 Snom Value Added Resellers across the world.
