Rugged data collection solution provider Juniper Systems has launched the CT5 Rugged Android Smartphone, succeeding the CT4 Rugged Handheld in Juniper's affordable Cedar product line.
The fully rugged CT5 is IP68 rated, certifying complete protection against damage from dust and water ingress.

The CT5 design is slimmer than its predecessor, has a larger 4.7-inch display, and is powered by a robust 4500mAh battery. Features include front and rear cameras, micro USB slot, and dual micro SIM card slots. Connectivity is provided via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS, FM Radio, and NFC. It runs on the Android 6.0 operating system.
The CT5 Rugged Smartphone is now being shipped to partners, resellers and end users in a variety of industries including geomatics, industrial, natural resources, utilities and public services, agriculture, and military markets. Typical end user price is $499.
