Unified comms specialist Zest4 celebrates its fourth birthday this month, and says that its ambition is to become the go-to provider for M2M and IoT services.
Founded in January 2013 by Freddie Fazelynia and colleagues from his previous businesses 3a Telecom and Yes Telecom, Zest4’s initial focus was on Channel Management, offering mobile and connectivity solutions to mobile dealers and resellers, fixed line resellers and a small number of IT specialists. Within the first year of business the team realised the opportunity of offering a wider range of products and services to resellers, and has since been on a rapid journey of expansion.
By end of 2013 Zest4 had added telephony and data systems, and to support these had developed the Zest4 Partner training academy. Further products and services were added to the portfolio throughout 2015-16 including Office 365, a hardware recycling service, and mobile voice recording solutions.
M2M (machine-to-machine) solutions were always a key part of Zest4’s strategy, and early in 2014, the company became Telefonica O2's first M2M Wholesale partner.
In 2016, Zest4 recruited Anton Le Saux, formerly of Telefonica, as Head of MTM, and the team has continued to develop a range of end-to-end M2M solutions including Pre-Ethernet Solutions and Vehicle Tracking.
Commenting on the company’s fourth birthday, Mandy Fazelynia, Zest4’s Operations & Business Development Director, said, ‘We have had an incredible first four years in business and are very excited for the next four years.
