A Samsung with a switch
Samsung has launched its first handset that can switch between mobile and wireless networks during calls.
The P200 will allow users to make calls over Wi-Fi in areas where coverage is available and switch seamlessly to a GSM or GPRS signal in areas without a Wi-Fi network.
Featuring a 1.3 megapixel camera and MP3 music player, the handset is already available in Italy and will be rolled out to other European countries soon. The slider handset looks similar to the 3 megapixel D900, which is due to launch in the UK next month and is expected to replace the top-selling D600 as Samsung's flagship handset.
Samsung is yet to confirm details on pricing and UK availability.
