Samsung has unveiled three smartphones - the Samsung i550, Samsung i560 and Samsung i780 – to be released in the coming months on O2, Vodafone and Orange respectively.
The Samsung i550 and Samsung i560 are both based on Symbian’s S60 software, with game, search and mapping applications.
The three-megapixel Samsung i550 has a 2.6-inch colour screen and 128MB of RAM for quick and easy task switching. It has a s60 dedicated web-browser, trackball navigation and HSDPA connection. It will be available in early 2008 on O2.
The Samsung i560 slider, to be released on Vodafone next month, has HSDPA web browsing, a three-megapixel camera with flash, FM radio and GPS navigation.
The Samsung i780, based on Windows Pocket PC, has HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, a 2.55-inch full colour screen and GPS navigation. It has a two-megapixel camera and is just 12.8mm thick. It will be available from the end of November on Orange.
