The GPS4Now links to any Java-based mobile phone via Bluetooth and users can download individual journeys for 79p each, or take out a subscription at £4.99 per month for unlimited journeys.

The device costs £49.99 and includes one month's free subscription. It is available now from Carphone Warehouse and through distributors 20:20, Unique, Kondor and Dextra.

Similarly, Motorola also recently launched a Bluetooth sat nav device called the T805, which retails for £119.19.
