Nokia restructure gathers pace
Nokia’s UK restructure is under way with some staff already starting their new positions under the company’s new format.
An official announcement about the company’s new structure is expected to be made at the end of this year, as the manufacturer splits the business into Devices & Services and Nokia Siemens Networks.
A Nokia spokesman said: ‘We have a lot of people moving in preparation for the announcements.’
He added: ‘When you have a move of this size, it takes a while to change over.’
He said the restructure would not cause any redundancies.
In Europe, Nokia said 700 people would be made redundant in its enterprise solutions, IT and R&D businesses in February this year.
