T-Mobile offers Web'n'walk users free internet
T-Mobile has become the first UK operator to offer access to a WiFi network as part of a mobile broadband price plan.
As from 8 January, all new customers who sign up to the Web’n’walk mobile internet service will be able to use all T-Mobile Wi-Fi HotSpots to go online at no extra charge.
This means that for an additional £12.50 per month, on top of any Flext price plan, T-Mobile customers will now have access to both a 3G network nationwide, and the world’s largest Wi-Fi network. It has 39,000 Wi-Fi HotSpots across the globe such as Starbucks, airports and selected rail services.
Richard Warmsley, T-Mobile’s head of internet on the move, said: “We’ve already built a market-leading high-speed 3G network nationwide, now we’re strengthening our lead in mobile broadband by adding our Wi-Fi HotSpots to Web’n’walk Plus/Max price plans.
‘So as well as comprehensive 3G HSDPA coverage, you can be sure of a fast connection where it matters most, whether it’s in Starbucks, the airport, train stations or any other HotSpot location – at no extra cost.’
