Free PSPs with £35 Orange contracts
Orange has re-introduced its free PSP offer for one month only as it continues with its determined post-Christmas marketing campaign.
The operator is giving direct customers who sign up to contracts over £35 a free Sony PSP. The handheld device is also available for a reduced price of £29.99 with £30 contracts.
Orange appears to be putting more effort into marketing its deals than its network rivals, with half price deals and special offers highlighted in a constant stream of ads in the national press (see Deal Watch). Although Argos is continuing to be aggressive with half price deals running until the middle of February and new products added to the line up.Orange’s decision to return to the games console market comes as the market appears to be growing in popularity at the expense of laptops; Carphone Warehouse has given greater prominence to its games console offers than its free laptop deals, while Curry’s parent company DSG recently announced that sales of games consoles outperformed sales of laptops.
