Sony Ericsson is hedging its bets with a new brace of no-frills candy bar phones, with one designed for the consumer and the other for the business user.
Both are easy on the eye, with a brushed light metal and glass finish, but there’s one feature (or lack of) that sets them apart.
The Sony Ericsson T280 is aimed at consumers, with its FM radio, 1.3-megapixel camera and a one-click text message launcher.
Meanwhile the T270, offers exactly the same specs and features as its consumer friendly sibling, except for one. There’s no camera on board.
Sony Ericsson argues that, by omitting the camera on the T270, it’s targeting business users looking for a simple, robust phone that’s easy to use.
The T270 and T280 will both be available in silver on black and copper on silver and will launch early 2008.
