Palm's 3G Windows smartphone will cease to be a Vodafone exclusive from the end of January.
The Palm Treo 500, launched exclusively to Vodafone in October is now available on all networks. The smartphone runs on a Windows Mobile 6 Standard platform with a full keyboard, large screen and comprehensive multi messaging functionality covering email, IM, SMS, phone and personal information management software. Available in charcoal grey, the Treo 500's 3G capabilities means the device is capable of fast internet access.
Users can manage documents using mobile versions of familiar Microsoft applications, such as Outlook, Office, and Windows Live for Windows Mobile. In addition, users can share the Treo 500 smartphone's data access with a laptop, so they can stay connected anywhere within wireless coverage.
The Palm Treo 500 will be available on all networks for pre-order on the Palm eStore for £269 and from retail outlets from 28 January.
