Nokia store to open at Heathrow airport
Nokia today announced it will open its first airport store when Heathrow’s Terminal five opens on 27 March.
With many retailers and networks reluctant to place live handsets on display in their stores, the Finnish manufacturer has taken to expanding its own retail presence to let consumers experience live versions of its handsets.
The opening of the 60 square metre store will follow Nokia’s largest ever store on Regent Street, which is set to open next week on 8 February.
Simon Ainslie managing director of Nokia said: ‘The Nokia store will showcase Nokia devices and our full range of services including city guides and Nokia Maps to help travellers find their way around their destinations.
'In addition, our staff will be on hand to help update customers’ mobile music collections from the Nokia Music Store, to make sure they are fully equipped for long flights.'
