LG announces European sales targets

LG has announced an ambitious European sales target of more than 13.5 million units for 2008, after the KU990 Viewty secured a strong end to 2007 for the manufacturer.

LG claims the Viewty sold 600,000 units within the first two and half months of its European launch and is currently selling up to 10,000 units per day in Europe.

The manufacturer has also revealed it aims to raise its overall market share in Europe to 10%, and strengthen its 3G presence and premium brand image.

LG will unveil its mobile devices for the first half of 2008 at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 11 February.
