Apple launches new version of iPhone
Apple has launched a new version of the iPhone – one with 16GB memory, double the original capacity. Most industry observers had expected the next iPhone out to be a 3G version, but this hasn’t happened.
At Macworld last month, Apple boss, Steve jobs announced a deal with all major film studios for additional releases in the iTunes library. The increased iPhone memory capacity compliments the offering, enabling users to store more memory heavy films and videos on their handsets.
The 16GB Apple handset will sell for $499, while the retail price of the original 8GB handset will continue retailing for $399.
