Voda marketing division set for Irish move
Vodafone is relocating its global brand marketing department to Ireland.
Around 20 people are being lined up to move to Vodafone’s marketing office in Dublin.
A spokesman is reported to have told the Newbury Weekly: ‘We already have a marketing company in Dublin. It was considered to be sensible to locate our marketing team in the same place.’
Sources suggested there would be considerable tax benefits from making the switch.
A spokeswoman told Mobile: ‘The impacted teams include Brand Strategy and Manifestation, and Brand Experience and Franchising.’
Staff are being consulted about the relocation, according to the local paper, who also claimed David Wheldon, Vodafone’s global director of brand and customer experience would head up the team.
