MWC: Nokia launches high spec N6220

Finnish mobile phone giant Nokia has unveiled the 6220 in Barcelona, the highest specced handset in its Classic range.

It is the first of Nokia's Classic range to offer a five-megapixel camera, complete with Xenon flash and Carl Zeiss optics and the emphasis is on sharing.

High-quality images can be uploaded directly from the 6220 Classic to Nokia's new Share on Ovi, an online community where consumers can upload, manage and share their media content.

Thanks to the integrated A-GPS, photos can be ‘geotagged', meaning pics can be tagged with regards to where the photo was taken.

The Nokia 6220 Classic also comes preinstalled with the new Nokia Maps 2.0 application, which has added ‘Walk', a pedestrian focused navigation system to run alongside ‘Drive' and a host of multimedia city guides.

The Nokia 6220 Classic is expected to start shipping in Q3 2008.
