LG about to launch the Emerald phone
LG is close to launching its KM330 Emerald phone, believed to be making it available later on this month in the UK. The flip phone is the latest in LG’s portfolio of high end, stylish handsets.
The shiny, slim device is essentially a music phone, with short cut music keys on the outside and a normal keyboard on the inside. The 2G phone has a 1.3 mega pixel camera, comes with FM radio, and supports a variety of music formats, including MP3 and WMA.
LG is trying to capture the fashion conscious end of the mobile market, with its strategy centring around stylish handsets. ‘LG is growing in aspirational status,’ Jeremy Newing the company’s head of mobile marketing told Mobile. The handset manufacturer is also increasing the number of handsets it brings out, from three to six per year, to about twenty phones this year, Newing revealed.
