3’s first MVNO customer, Gamma Telecom has signed up just under 1,000 business customers for its mobile offering.
The company, which specialises in wholesaling telecommunications services to small businesses, launched the mobile addition to its services at the start of the year.
The company’s marketing director, Richard Blight said it was looking likely that Gamma would reach its goal of 20,000 connections by the end of the year.
Gamma has over 60 channel partners selling the mobile solution, with roughly 80% of these being the company’s existing customers and 20% signed up as a result of the MVNO agreement.
The proposition is attractive to dealers because it provides them with an ongoing revenue stream and ownership of the customer. Dealers set the price themselves and do all the billing themselves.
Hugh Symons is working in conjunction with Gamma to provide customers that opt for the managed services solution with value added services, including handsets.
