Vodafone to make 450 staff redundant from Newbury HQ
Vodafone today announced plans to make 450 staff at its Newbury headquarters redundant as part of its plans to ‘simplify its operating model’.
The cuts are expected to affect 20% of senior management.
But Vodafone also revealed that 490 new roles will be created.
Bosses want 330 extra retail staff across the UK to help with demand for data product sales.
A further 130 sales and service roles are to be created in Vodafone's enterprise business while the online sales and customer service activity will be enhanced including e-billing capability, adding 30 more roles.
