O2 brings in new technology to drive customer acquisition

O2 has signed up the Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) to drive customer acquisition and retention.

MIG is the UK’s fastest growing multimedia mobile solutions provider to the mobile and digital markets

O2 will use MIG’s MIDAS messaging platform to provide a range of mobile interactive solutions to increase brand awareness among its target audience.

Anthony Nelson, business development director at MIG, said: ‘Over the past 12 months MIG’s development team have been heavily focused in advancing the core functionality of MIDAS, making sure MIG can provide high speed, intelligent solutions to our operator customers such as O2.’

Lance Haswell, head of online Pay & Go at O2 said: ‘O2’s customer acquisition strategy for 2008 means delivering a number of highly compelling campaigns into the market place, that invite potential customers to take advantage of offers to join the O2 network.’
