Data commitment to drive Vodafone's retail growth
Vodafone boss, Nick Read, revealed that along with hiring an extra 490 staff to work in stores and call centres, an additional four Vodafone stores would be opened in the next two weeks.
Read described Vodafone as ‘very committed’ to its retail footprint, and said the operator would open four new stores over the next two weeks at Heathrow terminal five, Kings Cross St Pancras, Islington and Belfast.
And the Vodafone boss said the 330 retail staff hired to work in stores will be brought in to support an increasing demand for data related products.
‘When you go into our stores over the course of one year, we will be focused on data as an execution, and therefore we need more people,’ said Read.
