Tesco selling mobiles for half the average
Tesco is throwing heavily discounted prepay mobile phones into the market as part of a clearance sale.
The supermarket giant’s website lists scores of clearance deals, with some phones up to half the normal industry cost.
There are deals on handsets from all the major manufacturers. Nokia 6300s can be bought at Tesco for £44.97, but GSM’s exchange chart, as featured on www.mobiletoday.co.uk, lists the phone as having an average trading price of £89.
Customers can save £25 on the Motorola U9 which is down to £74.97, the Samsung E250 which is down to £34.97, the Nokia 2630 which is down to £29.97 and Sony Ericsson’s K550i and K800i are down to £44.97 and £74.97 respectively.
With more than two million customers, Tesco is a major supplier of prepay handsets.
