3: customers want 12-month contracts
3 has unveiled its Unlimited Texter tariff, which was exclusively revealed by Mobile last week.
The deal, which offers mobile users unlimited texts on two new plans, is being pushed on 12-month contracts which 3 says customers have been demanding.
The company’s own research suggested that, although 18-month deals are fast becoming industry-standard, mobile users still want the option of a
12-month deal too.
John Penberthy-Smith, marketing director at 3, said: ‘Our new unlimited text offers are the best on the market and beat the rest of the competition hands down.’
3 also said it is offering a £30 increase in commission to dealers on the Sony Ericsson W660i and W880i handsets.
